Catalogue imports and takedown requests

Who we are

LookLayer Studio is a styling platform used by personal stylists and retailers. When one of our users pastes a product link, our importer requests that public page so the item can be saved to that user's private working catalogue. Our requests identify themselves as LookLayerImporter/1.0 and include a link to this page.

How we behave

• We read your robots.txt and skip anything it disallows.
• We prefer machine-readable catalogues you already publish (product feeds and sitemaps) over reading pages.
• We space out requests and never crawl at volume or in the background.
• We do not bypass logins, paywalls or bot protection.
• Imported items keep a record of the page they came from, and imported product links point back to your store.

Removal requests

If you would rather we did not hold copies of your product imagery, email importer@looklayerstudio.com with your domain. We will remove every imported copy from that domain across all accounts, and block future imports from it on request. We aim to action removals within five business days.

Our users' responsibilities

Users of LookLayer confirm they have the right to use the imagery and details they import, and agree not to import from sites whose terms forbid it. We recommend stylists photograph garments themselves wherever possible, which avoids the question entirely.
