This Privacy Policy explains how ABN 74 630 464 813, trading as LookLayer Studio (“we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you use LookLayer Studio and LookLayer Retail (“Services”). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

1. Information we collect

We may collect:

  • Account information: name, email address, business name and billing details.
  • Client information: photographs, measurements, style preferences, questionnaire answers and other data you upload on behalf of your clients.
  • Usage information: log data, device and browser information, and how you interact with the Services.
  • Communications: emails, support requests and feedback you send us.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, operate and improve the Services;
  • process payments and manage subscriptions;
  • generate AI try-on outputs from the photographs and product images you provide;
  • communicate with you about your account, updates and support;
  • comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

3. Client photographs and consent

Client photographs are uploaded and processed to create AI try-on results. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from clients before uploading their photographs. We treat these photographs as confidential and store them securely. You can delete client profiles and associated photographs at any time.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Services: our application hosting provider, Cloudflare (content delivery), our transactional email provider, and Google (calendar integration, analytics and advertising measurement, only where you have accepted cookies or connected an account).
  • AI providers — Google (Gemini) for virtual try-on images and OpenAI for colour analysis. Photos are sent only to generate the image you request and are not used by us to train AI models.
  • Meta, for advertising measurement, only where you have accepted cookies.
  • Stripe, Inc., our payment processor, for subscription billing, one-time credit purchases, tax compliance and invoicing.
  • Professional advisers (legal and accounting) where needed.
  • Authorities where required by law.

5. Data security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data retention

We retain Your Content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. You may delete client data, looks and products at any time. Deleted data may remain in backups for a limited period before being permanently removed.

7. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and, depending on your location, other laws (such as the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@looklayerstudio.com.

7a. Deleting your account and data

To delete your account and all associated data, email admin@looklayerstudio.com from the address on your account with the subject "Account and data deletion request". We will confirm your identity, cancel any subscription and delete your workspace, clients, photographs and generated images within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as tax invoices). Clients of a stylist should contact their stylist first, as the stylist controls their records.

7b. Children

LookLayer is not intended for children. Accounts are for people 18 and over. Stylists must have a parent or guardian's consent before storing details or photographs of anyone under 18.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in Australia and other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Services.
